Currently, I am working on mobile application development. I started my own company and work on ideas as they come up on my own pace and with people I enjoy working with. This allows me to spend quality time with my kids while they are young.
Prior to that, I was a Principal Research Scientist in BAE Systems AIT and an Adjunct Professor in the Division of Human-Centered Computing at Clemson University for seven years.
My research background is in human computer interaction, virtual humans, immersive virtual environments, and 3D user interactions. In particular, my past research focused on the comparison of human-human interaction to human-virtual human interaction in the context of social psychology. While at BAE, I developed and deployed Agent Based Modeling (ABM) applications for ongoing political and social issues, including the effect of policy change on regional sentiment.
I received my PhD in Computer Science from University of North Carolina at Charlotte . I received a BS in Computer Science in 2000 and an MS in Human Computer Interaction in 2002 from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
